A North West interior design consultancy tasked The Loft with creating a brand identity which would complement their honest, elegant and sophisticated approach. The process began with an interactive visual workshop, designed to clarify brand values, audiences and style. After digging deeper, we discovered that the client was drawn to a natural and earthy colour palette and confident composition.

What’s in a name?

The Loft held a brand name generation session, exploring multiple creative routes then refining these ideas into six unique concepts. The successful concept was HUE. ‘Hue’ means colour or shade of colour and comes from an Old English word meaning form, shape or beauty. Visually, HUE is also clean and confident, which reflects the values of the brand.

The outcome

A strong yet understated brand mark reinforces the timeless and elegant style of HUE Interior Design. This combined with a neutral colour palette allows the interior design to do the talking. The ‘H’ is a dynamic supporting brand element, inspired by the bird’s eye view of a room or space. The pattern within changes, alluding to the role that HUE Interior Design plays adapting a space to their client’s unique tastes. The new identity was then rolled out across print collateral and social media and has laid the foundation work for a beautiful website.
